For Immediate Release – Police Presence on Magnolia Court

June 26, 2022- On June 26th at around 04:00 PM, Troy Police Officers were dispatched to an address on Magnolia Court. Neighbors had alerted dispatch about a man who they knew to be dangerous arriving at the home of the female victim and going into the residence. There was a restraining order in place.

Officers were familiar with residence and previous threats of violence made toward Officers. In past contact, the man had always been gone prior to Officer’s arrival. The woman had explained to Officer’s during the previous contact, how she had feared for her life to the man having firearms and being physically violent with her.

When officers arrived, they made contact with the victim and she came outside. She initially told Officer the suspect was not in the home. She eventually disclosed to the Officer that the suspect was in the house and he had obtained her firearm.

Officers, Deputies, and Missouri State Highway Patrol secured the area around the home and began attempting to make contact with the suspect. Eventually, contact was made with the suspect via the phone and he agreed to come out of the home peacefully. The man was taken into custody without any further incident.

While on the scene, Officers learned he had ridden a motorcycle to the residence. Officers further learned the motorcycle had been reported stolen out of St. Louis City. There was a firearm located in the home, which belonged to the victim.

The suspect has been booked into the Lincoln County Jail where charges are pending.
