Congresswoman Ann Wagner has been reappointed as Chair of the Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets. The announcement was made by Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill.
In a statement, Wagner expressed her dedication to supporting capital formation and advocating for investors. “Over the past two years as Chair of this vital subcommittee, I have made it my mission to foster greater capital formation, advocate for Main Street investors, and promote market access for those looking to save for retirement, a home, or their child’s education,” she said. Wagner highlighted efforts to address overregulation and support small investors and businesses.
Wagner also commented on future legislative goals with the new administration. “I am confident that, with President Trump back in the White House and a Republican majority in the Senate, we can get even more legislation over the finish line in the House and to the President’s desk so they can have the force of law behind them,” she stated.
Chairman French Hill praised Wagner's leadership: “Rep. Wagner has been a terrific, energetic Subcommittee Chair of Capital Markets for the past two years, and I look forward to her continuing to lead this Subcommittee in the 119th Congress.”
The reappointment marks another term for Wagner as she continues her work in shaping financial regulations.
