Ann Wagner, U.S. Congresswoman representing Missouri’s 2nd district since 2013, shared updates on her legislative efforts to combat child sexual exploitation and support victims of abuse in a series of posts on September 19, 2025.
In her first post, Wagner stated, "I joined the Interparliamentary Taskforce on Human Trafficking’s biannual Anti-Trafficking in Persons Policy Roundtable to discuss my bills to keep our children safe from sexual exploitation." (September 19, 2025).
Addressing technological threats, Wagner highlighted the rise of AI-generated Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). She wrote, "My ENFORCE Act addresses the emerging crisis of AI-generated Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). There has been a 620% increase in AI-CSAM since last year. That is unacceptable. Federal laws must be updated to hold offenders accountable for these crimes." (September 19, 2025).
On supporting victims, Wagner added, "My CVF Stabilization Act ensures victims of child abuse and sexual violence are able to recover from these crimes and work with police to catch and prosecute the predators who caused them harm. I am proud to have 300 House cosponsors & will fight to move this bill to the floor." (September 19, 2025).
Wagner has represented Missouri’s 2nd District since replacing Todd Akin in 2013. Born in St Louis in 1962 and currently residing in Ballwin, she graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1984.
